Anna Mills-Bordignon went from high flying corporate lawyer to starting her own sustainability business, Nil Products, with three young boys in tow.
Mills-Bordignon says she had the choice between law and art at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, but decided on law.
After graduating she worked as a corporate lawyer in a large law firm for a few years before moving to London and joining an international firm, followed by a few years in-house, and finally returning home and a job in the public sector as a chief legal adviser.
She left the law to start a family and over that time completed an MBA, and decided that she wanted to do something that also included her passion and creativity.
“I wanted to spend time with my children, and my current career at that point in time would have made it difficult for me to spend time with my babies.”
